Downright frigid if you know what I mean. And if you are up this early, you do (actually it's not that early now, but work with me on this one) Frost warnings, sub 30 temperatures BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kinda strange that we were all talking about the fact that it was still in the 90's just a couple weeks ago. Boots, heavy coats, hats and gloves were in order this morning along with sweaters, sweatshirts and slippers or socks. Nothing quite like those first steps after you unwrap yourself from the covers and blankets on a cold morning. (Might wanna let that back hair grow out for some extra insulation) But of course, this is Cincinnati and it will be around 60 degrees this afternoon so you'll be overdressed with a heavy coat on later, but what the heck you can always just carry it later I guess. Good time to think about that soup for lunch thing or at least something warm. Maybe some hot chocolate or a hot (not so much for me on the hot beer, but if that's you thing then have at it and knock yourself out). Best break out that extra blanket, find those fuzzy slippers you put away last spring , check to make sure you still have both gloves and that those winter socks arent full of holes. (unless you lie 'em with holes, toes gotta breathe sometimes). Yep, plenty of nice fall afternoons ahead, but with mornings like these that cold cold weather cant be too far away. November is truly here (even though it's not really here for a couple of days)
'Mater soup and grilled cheese for everyone (admit it, you still dig it no matter how old you get).
Ok,Ok, you can have another kind of soup instead. SHEESH!

It's just gray here, but going to be in the mid 80s all week. Had a very gloomy and gray weekend. There must have been a really bad storm out in the Gulf because I went to the beach yesterday in between rains, and it was like the coral reef threw up on the beach. Thick with dead seaweed, muscles, dead crabs, but lots of shells. I wish I had gone down earlier there must have been some real beauties in it earlier. But I got a lot of really pretty scallops, scrped off the barnacles and tonight I'm putting them all in an oblong frame and painting them with clear and it will look really good. Usually they wash up already separated, but these had both halves still together, encrusted with barnacles. So I spent the evening scraping them clean LOL.

Ended up being a Beautiful day here. Sunny, clear and comfortable. Frost covering again this morning, but again it's supposed to get up into the mid 60's and sunny this afternoon !
Looks like that tropical storm/potential hurricane is gonna turn away from Florida. Might be what churned up some of that stuff

You would be amazed, Greg, at how cold 60* feels after 5 months of 90+ weather. I mean, I woke up COLD this morning and it was already up to 63*..(and I slept under 4 layers of covers, with my window shut)
Going into the 50s here supposedly tomorrow night and a high Wednesday of only 71*. That's January weather for us! I wanted it to cool off but not that much...Supposed to be back into the low 80s by the weekend which is more like it for me.

I'm good with the 70's and even the 60's (especially after we had all those 90 degree days up here as well) But I'm never quite ready for that first huge temperature drop. LOL!
I broke out the sweatshirts and sweaters and the extra blanket but I still need a little bit of "adjustment time" to get into the cold weather,
Once all the holiday who-has start, it doesnt feel quite as cold though.
